Two Lupin IIIRD films to get home video release in Germany!

Two of the Lupin the IIIRD spin-off films are coming to DVD and Blu-ray in Germany later this year!

Hot on the heels of their recent theatrical announcement, licensing company Kazé Entertainment have revealed that they are bringing both Takeshi Koike’s Jigen’s Gravestone and Goemon’s Bloodspray to DVD and Blu-ray in the Autumn. The former has a release date set as the 16th of September, with the latter due on the 21st of October.

While package artwork is yet to be revealed, the listings confirm both are to be made available on DVD / Blu-ray, and will include original Japanese plus German dubbed audio. Special features and any extras are likely to be announced at a later date.

As it is included in the cinema run this August, it’s likely that the third film, Fujiko’s Lie, will follow suit.

It is fantastic to see the Lupin III series getting more releases in different territories - especially Germany, which thus far has received the 2014 live action, the Detective Conan cross-overs, a short MTV run and DVD / Blu-ray release of five films… and that’s it.

2021 is shaping up to be a fantastic year for the series worldwide - the more Lupin the better!

Big thanks to Luca yet again for the news tip - cheers!
