Dragon of Doom streaming for FREE in the U.S this December!

The 1994 television special Lupin III: Dragon of Doom will be streaming on YouTube in the United States for free during December 2023! The special is due to replace Voyage to Danger, which has been streaming on the service throughout December (and if you’re reading this before November 30th, you can still catch it - if you’re quick about it)!

This streaming version of Dragon of Doom is due to feature the Funimation English dub, which contains Sonny Strait as Lupin, Christopher R. Sabat as Jigen, Mike McFarland as Goemon, Meredith McCoy as Fujiko, and Phillip Wilburn as Zenigata. The Japanese language version of the film was the last to feature the late Yasuo Yamada, before the role was taken over by Kanichi Kurita in 1995s Farewell to Nostradamus.

Also known as Burn, Zantetsuken!, the 1994 special originally came to DVD in the U.S. during 2003, complete with the Funimation English dub featuring here. It later received a HD video release on Blu-ray courtesy of Discotek Media in 2020.

The film is highly regarded, and during TMS’ 55th anniversary, it was voted as the number two favourite special by fans on YouTube. If you have not seen it before, it is worth a watch, and this is definitely a good time to check it out!
