“Zenigata and the Two Lupin's” and “The Immortal Bloodline” coming to home video in Japan!
Happy New Year, thieves and scoundrels!
If you follow us over on Bluesky, you may have spotted that TMS had a DVD and Blu-ray shaped gift under the tree for Lupin fans in Japan. Both recent entries in the Lupin the IIIRD spin-off series, Zenigata and the Two Lupin’s and The Immortal Bloodline are coming to both DVD and Blu-ray on Wednesday, March 25th, 2026!
There will be a suped up special edition version that includes both films, “making of” bonus features, trailers, and exclusive packaging. The standard version only includes the feature length Immortal Bloodline, and not the Two Lupin’s OVA, hence a slightly cheaper price point.
A3 clear files, t-shirts, cloth posters, and acrylic stands featuring new artwork by series director Takeshi Koike will also be available for those pre-ordering from certain stores. Each store has a different item and illustration - so it may be a challenge if you want to collect them all! We’ll include images of them in this post, so you can get an idea of what to expect. The art features the main five members of the Lupin gang, referencing previous OVA’s in addition to the new one and feature film. It’s always a treat to see more artwork from Takeshi Koike!
The special edition will retail for 15,180 yen (Blu-ray) and 14,080 yen (DVD), whereas the regular edition will retail for 6,380 yen (Blu-ray) and 5,280 yen (DVD). For more details, including pre-order links, check out TMS' Tumblr post here.
The Immortal Bloodline is currently airing in theatres across the United States and Canada for a limited time, from January 4th through to January 6th. The film is also due for a wider release in France starting on February 25th, featuring the now usual Belgian voice cast (thanks for the tip, Guillaume)! There still remains no news on a localisation of Zenigata and the Two Lupin’s, or a home video release outside of Japan. We will be sure to report on one if it does get announced, though - so stay tuned!
