Lupin the IIIRD comes to "Line Pop2!"
Popular Japanese mobile game Line Pop2 is currently holding a cross-over event to celebrate the release of Lupin the IIIRD: The Movie ~ The Immortal Bloodline!
For a limited time only, players will be able to snag Lupin related characters and items after completing specific challenges. Gameplay involves matching coloured characters on a hexagonal grid - similar to the classic puzzle game Hexic, for fellow nostalgic Xbox 360 gamers. The Android store for the game describes it as “line-em-up”, which is a silly term, honestly.
Although the game is primarily marketed towards its audience in Asia, it is still possible to download and play it abroad. Not all cross-over items may be available in your region, however - so there’s no guarantee you may see Lupin stuff if you download it outside of Japan (which makes sense, the film is not available here in the United Kingdom, for example)!
The event will finish on January 23rd, 2026, so be sure to check it out before it’s over, if you are living in Japan (or have a VPN, perhaps…)?
