Five classic Lupin OSTs are getting new, colourful, vinyl editions in Japan!
TMS Entertainment in conjunction with Nippon Columbia and Lawson Entertainment have announced that five classic Lupin III vinyl albums are getting re-releases in Japan, complete with colourful discs!
The first three, Lupin III: Part 2 - Original Soundtrack 1 - 3, are due for release on October 21st, 2026, and will be priced at 5,000 Japanese Yen plus tax. Then, both original soundtracks to Lupin III: Part 1 and The Castle of Cagliostro will release slightly later, on November 25th, 2026, for the same price - 5,000 Japanese Yen plus tax.
The releases are part of the series 55th anniversary, which it is celebrating this year. They also serve as a nice tribute to the late, great, Yuji Ohno, who worked on four of the five soundtracks. Personally - I think these look gorgeous. While the albums featured have seen many reissues over the years, both physical and digital, it is nice to see them get the colour disc treatment. They are no doubt going to be a standout in any fans collection - and the price of each is decent as well.
