Yuji Ohno is doing okay!
After well over a year, Yuji Ohno has posted again on Twitter, sharing a photo of himself on his 82nd birthday (which was on May 30th, 2023).
“After a long time, I am 82 years old today. I'm fine!”
At the time of writing, the tweet has had nearly 15k likes, with no doubt many more to come.
While, at first, it seems like an unusual thing to report — fans have been concerned for the legendary musicians health, after he was admitted to hospital during the early months of 2022. His scheduled tours and performances were postponed, and he has not made an appearance since.
It is lovely and reassuring to see him active again, and celebrating his special day in good health. We hope he can celebrate many more still yet to come, and that he can be back by the piano, doing what he loves, soon enough!
