Update: The Best Selection Blu-rays coming to Japan!
Update (November 1st):
A complete edition box set of the Lupin III “The Best Selection” Blu-ray releases has been announced for Japan!
The set comes complete with all four Blu-rays mentioned in our original post below, plus exclusive slick black packaging. It’s looking fly!
There has also been an update to the VAP website for the product, and it will be possible to pre-order yourself a copy over on Amazon Japan shortly. The final set is due for release on December 22nd, 2021.

A small selection of classic Lupin III television episodes and specials are coming to Blu-ray in Japan!
Titled “The Best Selection”, each volume contains content celebrating the 50th anniversary of the original 1971 series, as voted for by fans!
All four Blu-rays are due for release on the 22nd of December 2021. Check out a full list of what is included below, courtesy of the VAP online store!

Part 1 (Episode 01): Is Lupin Burning?!
Part 5 (Episode 24): Viva Lupin III!
Part 2 (Episode 145): Albatross, the Wings of Death

The three television specials featuring as part of the re-release are Walther P-38 (aka Island of Assassins), Episode 0: First Contact and Burn, Zantetsuken!
Each Blu-ray will be on sale for the recommended retail price of 4,290 yen (so around 17,160 yen, if you are looking at buying all four)!
