Part 6 home video release now available to pre-order in Germany!
German fans waiting on Lupin III: Part 6 are in luck - pre-orders are now open for Volume 1 of the upcoming DVD and Blu-ray sets!
Both versions feature episodes 0 to 12, and in addition to the original Japanese language, include a brand-new German language dub. A second volume containing all other episodes is due to release later in the year.
However… there’s a catch.
Both DVD and Blu-ray versions of the first set are retailing for a whopping €90! Outside of Japan, it is the most expensive Lupin III home video release I have ever seen in the thirteen years I have been following this franchise. Perhaps not the easiest pill to swallow, in today’s economy.
For those willing to pony up, special features include a 20-page episode guide, a poster, clean opening, ending, and bonus episode (episode zero).
The series is still available for streaming on Crunchyroll’s German page, for a considerably smaller sum of money.
