New Lupin III kabuki stage show details revealed!
Two new key visuals have been revealed for the upcoming Lupin III kabuki stage show, which is due to hit Japan starting in March 2026!
Brilliant Star: The Beautiful Castle of Emerald White is due to begin from March 5th, running through to March 27th, 2026, at Shimbashi Enbujo, Tokyo. From there, performances are planned in Misonoza, Nagoya, Minamiza, Kyoto, and Fukuoka, Hakata.
As with the first stage performance, the cast list for the main five is as follows:
Lupin III: 片岡 愛之助 (Ainosuke Kataoka)
Goemon XIII: 尾上 松也 (Matsuya Onoe)
Jigen Daisuke: 市川 笑三郎 (Saburō Ichikawa)
Fujiko Mine: 市川 笑也 (Emiya Ichikawa)
Inspector Zenigata: 市川 中車 (Chūsha Ichikawa)
The setting is feudal Japan. The governor of Suwa, Princess Seori, daughter of the Harumiya family, is living a peaceful life at Hatsuseji Temple in Kamakura. Due to the death of her father, the princess is forced to marry the powerful Tansho in order to continue the family name. Suddenly, Ryushiro Cansei comes to steal money that has been stored up in the temple, and the two meet. When the wind blows to the princess of Fukaso, who always dreams of freedom, the wind of flowing white waves begins, and the adventure to find the treasure hidden in the old phantom castle begins. The feelings of the two people, the flowing white wave and the princess, flucuates faintly as they make their own rules and shape their own future. Ryuhaku Lang, Hime, Jigen, Goemon, and Fujiko compete for treasure while their archenemy, Tanmasa, and Inspector Zenigata pursues them. Kabuki and Lupin the Third's "heroine story" is now coming to an end!
