Lupin's latest calling card announces that he plans to steal… Godzilla's treasure?!

A mysterious calling card has appeared at the Godzilla statue outside of the Tokyo Midtown Hibiya cinema!

I will steal Godzilla’s treasure on the 3rd of November - Lupin III.

Lupin has announced that he is to show up and steal Godzilla's treasure on November 3rd, which just happens to be the very same day as the 65th anniversary Godzilla celebration in Tokyo! The celebration is to take place at the same location, at Tokyo Midtown Hibiya.

The calling card is part of a promotional campaign between the Hibiya cinema festival and Lupin III: The First, which releases in Japan on December 6th.

In addition to witnessing his crimes, festival goers will also be able to take part in the Lupin III: The First interactive theatre. This sees Lupin and the gang jumping out of a special AR enabled screen and posing for the camera! A dedicated Hibiya Cinema Festival app is required to witness the “magic”, so be sure to give it a download if you plan on visiting.

What could Godzilla consider his treasure? Perhaps an expensive watch, family heirloom, enormous hat?! Check back on November the 3rd to find out. SKREEONK!

Lupin is expected to show up on November 3rd, we hope Zenigata will be on hand to help catch him!
